Annual Donations – Update to Our Funding Process
From 1 April 2026 (covering the financial year April 2026 to March 2027), Bangor on Dee Community Council will be updating how we provide financial support to local organisations.
Rather than making routine annual donations, we will be inviting groups to apply for funding through our grant application process. This allows organisations to tell us about a specific project or item they need support with, and helps us make sure public funds are used in the most effective way for our community.
As a Community Council, we have a responsibility to manage public money carefully and transparently. Moving to a grant-based system ensures that every request is considered fairly and consistently, and that we can clearly demonstrate how funding benefits local residents.

The closing date for applications will be 30 September each year. If an unexpected project arises after this date, we're still happy to consider requests — these will be discussed by Full Council on a case-by-case basis.
We remain committed to supporting community initiatives and warmly welcome applications that help improve life in Bangor on Dee.
