The Rainbow Foundation

 

The Rainbow Foundation provides a Rainbow Care and Support service which brings our award-winning service directly to the homes of our clients within the community. Alongside this, our innovative Community Wellbeing Team provides a social prescribing service available through all GP surgeries across Wrexham as well as a team of Community Agents who work across Wrexham Maelor South.

 

We also off a range of volunteer opportunities, community transport links and community development activities to ensure that the support networks are in place to allow local communities to reach their full potential.

Our Community Agents can directly support you with:

· falls prevention

· mobility aids, falls assessments and falls team referrals

· income maximisation

· benefit checks, appeals and tribunals

· retaining independence

· telecare, community alarms, OT assessments, home care

· reduction in loneliness and social isolation

· peer support groups, volunteering and befriending services

· health improvement

· local surgeries, community nursing teams, mental health teams and hospital discharge, pharmacies

Presbyterian Church

No permanent minister yet. Any enquires about the Church, please contact Mr Glyn Hughes tel. 780337. Sunday Services at 6.30pm. A successful May Fair was held on Saturday 14th May in the Chapel. Coffee Mornings held every Thursday 10 to 11.15am. All welcome.

Young Wives Group

‘Young Wives’ normally meet on the fourth Tuesday evening each month at 8.00pm. No meeting August.

 

Meetings can be talks in the village Hall, given by speakers from a variety of backgrounds; social evenings; meals out and visits to places of interest.
