About Ysgol Sant Dunawd

 

Ysgol Sant Dunawd is a vibrant and nurturing primary school at the heart of the Bangor-on-Dee community. We are proud to be a happy, caring, and inclusive school where every child is supported to achieve their full potential: academically, morally, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially. 

Our dedicated staff set high expectations for all pupils, and we believe strongly in working in genuine partnership with parents, families and the wider village community. Together, we help ensure every child receives the best possible start on their learning journey.

We aim to provide a safe, stimulating and supportive environment where pupils show respect for one another, enjoy their learning, and develop into confident, independent lifelong learners.

Dear residents of Bangor-on-Dee,

It is a privilege to serve as Acting Headteacher of Ysgol Sant Dunawd. Every day, I see the enthusiasm, kindness and curiosity of our pupils, and the commitment of our staff to providing high-quality teaching and rich learning experiences.

At Ysgol Sant Dunawd, we are passionate about creating a school where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to become the best version of themselves. Strong partnerships across home, school and the community are central to this, and I am truly grateful for the warm welcome and ongoing support shown by families and local residents.

Please know that my door is always open. You will often find me at the school gate before and after school, and I am always happy to talk.
