Dear
residents of Bangor-on-Dee,
I am delighted to be writing to you as the new Headteacher of Ysgol Sant Dunawd. I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to lead this wonderful school and work alongside such talented pupils, dedicated staff, as well as an engaged and supportive community.
I have spent many years working in education and have a passion for teaching and learning. I began my career in Liverpool, working in a variety of schools and educational settings, including schools for children with special needs and PRUs. In 2017, I came home to Wales, with my partner Lisa, to bring up our three beautiful children, Ellis (6), Ethan (3) and Elsie (2). Since then, I have taught in Ysgol Alexandra as Key Stage 2 lead, becoming Deputy Headteacher in 2019.
As a father of three young children, I am very much aware of the responsibility that my staff and I have in ensuring that the highest standard of teaching and learning is achieved. I am excited to bring my skills and experiences to Ysgol Sant Dunawd, and to work together with everyone to provide the best possible education and experiences for the pupil.
As the new Headteacher, I am committed to ensuring that every pupil makes progress to become the best version of themselves as individuals. One of my main priorities, is to build strong partnerships between home, school, and the community. I know how vital working in partnership really is for pupils to find school a positive and rewarding experience.
Should you wish to contact me for any reason, my email address is: mailbox@santdunawd-pri.wrexham.sch.uk I am often stood by the gate before and after school each day too.
Thank you for your support.
